Environment Fund 2021 – Circular Economy
The objective of the 2021 Circular Economy/Sustainability Strand is to support organisations working within this space to deliver projects/activities that will combat excess consumption and reduce waste in communities across Ireland by either:
- Increasing awareness/understanding of the concept of ‘circular economy’ and key issues relating to sustainability.
- Adapting projects/activities that will allow organisations to maintain or increase their impact within the area of circular economy/sustainability.

COVID 19 Emergency funding
The COVID 19 Emergency funding for community and voluntary groups is now open for applications. Please click on the following link for the guidelines and application form.
The closing date for completed applications is Friday 26th February 2021 at 3pm

Community Heritage Scheme
Kildare County Council is inviting applications for the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2021 from individuals/groups/organisations who are carrying out local heritage projects.
Closing date: 5pm Tuesday 16th March 2021.

Sports Capital & Equipment Programme
The 2020 Sports Capital Programme is now open for applications and the deadline for registration has been extended until 5pm on Monday 1st March, 2021. See below for details of how to register and how to make an application.

Community Water Development Fund
The Community Water Development Fund supports communities in progressing water related projects and initiatives, delivering benefits locally whilst also helping to meet the objectives of the River Basin Management Plan for Ireland and the wider EU Water Framework Directive. This Fund is open to all community and voluntary groups to assist in the protection and management of water quality, both locally and in the wider catchment.
Deadline: 9th February 2021.

Better Energy Communities
Better Energy Communities is our national retrofit initiative with grant support of up to €28 million for 2021. SEAI support new approaches to achieving energy efficiency in Irish communities. Upgrades can take place across building types to reduce energy use and costs throughout the community. We aim to deliver energy savings to homeowners, communities, and private sector organisations. All projects should be community oriented with a cross-sectoral approach, and you must show that you can sustainably finance the proposed project.

EPA Event Support Grant
The EPA Research Programme will consider applications for the financial support of small workshops, seminars, and other events which showcase current Irish research by the organisers and EPA funded-groups. The amount of funding per event will not exceed €3,000. Funding is not provided for large-scale events, conferences, symposiums, festivals etc.
