Kildare Public Participation Network (PPN) hosted a highly successful Plenary session on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at the prestigious Irish National Stud & Gardens in Kildare. The event, attended by a wide range of community members, provided an opportunity to reflect on past achievements, discuss future plans, and strengthen connections within the Kildare community.
The Plenary kicked off with a warm welcome and introduction, which included a quick update on hosting arrangements. A key item on the agenda was the ratification of the minutes from the November 2024 meeting, followed by discussions on the PPN’s Workplan and Budget for 2025. These strategic documents are vital for guiding the PPN’s activities and initiatives throughout the year. The Plenary was also an opportunity for the membership to get a copy of the 2024 Annual report, copies of which are available upon request.
The meeting welcomed new PPN representatives, marking a new chapter in the network’s collaboration with Kildare County Council. A dedicated workshop on “Representative Support” provided valuable insights on the priorities of the members and how representatives can be better supported in their roles, ensuring the continued success and growth of Kildare’s PPN.
Kildare Public Participation Network also put a call out for new Secretariat members and highlighted the nomination and election process.
