Kildare PPN will hold a facilitated workshop on Thursday 14th November in The Osprey Hotel at 7pm, with a view to making a submission on the Draft Strategic Policy Committee Scheme 2019 – 2024.
Strategic Policy Committees (SPC’s) assist the council in the formulation, development and review of policy and reflect the major functions or services of a local authority. Membership of the SPC’s consist of elected members, representatives of local sectoral interests and PPN representatives.
Following the local elections, it is necessary for each local authority to establish new Strategic Policy Committees for the term 2019-2024.
The six Strategic Policy Committees proposed cover the following areas of activity:
- Climate Action
- Environmental and Water Services
- Economic Development, Enterprise and Planning
- Local Community and Culture
- Transportation, Safety and Emergency Services
Kildare PPN welcome the opportunity to provide feedback on the SPC scheme to ensure the community and voluntary voice in County Kildare have their input.
Please RSVP email@example.com if you wish to attend the workshop.
If you cannot attend the workshop, you can e-mail your suggestions and proposals for the SPC scheme to Kildareppn@gmail.com for inclusion into the Kildare PPN submission.
